Jeneane emailed Martha a few months back and mentioned that she would like to paint the monarchs for Mayfield and asked if that was okay. We agreed that it was and we agreed on a canvas size. This past Sunday Jeneane brought to church this stunning painting that now hangs above the sink in our Gathering Area. You can see it both as you come up the stairs and when you enjoying food or activities in that part of the building.  Thank you Jeneane. It is beautiful!

Mother’s Day Mission – The A. Jean Brugger Foundation

We remembered and honored many women last Sunday. The offering total is around $400 and will be deeply appreciated at this foundation with a mission “to create and promote educational and community development programs in San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua and surrounding areas.” If you haven’t yet made a donation and would like to, there is still time. We will send our check to the foundation at the end of the month; please mark any further gifts “Mother’s Day.”

Northern Illinois Food Bank

Our continued support of the Northern Illinois Food Bank is crucial. They have five strategic pillars to their work:  provide more meals, ignite the community, build healthy communities, strengthen leadership, and be trusted financial stewards. In the process they provide food for college students, families, and seniors. Donations for the Northern Illinois Food Bank can be given by way of the offering plate or the food bank box.
