The first 2016 meeting of the Mayfield Fellowship will be on Thursday, February 18. Our program will be presented by Hanah Papp of the Northern Illinois Food Bank. The 2016 Fellowship Calendar will be available soon.

Saturday, February 13, from 9 am-noon, we will hold our first meeting of the Pillowcase Project. This project is growing out of the pillowcase mission station at our Intergenerational Advent Event. People are needed to match fabrics, measure, cut, sew, turn pillowcases, and iron. There are jobs for everyone.

The DeKalb/Sycamore Bookcase Project will host a banquet on Thursday, February 11, 6 pm at DeKalb High School. Tickets cost $18 each.  Last year we had a full table of Mayfield people there.  See Martha if you are interested in attending this year’s banquet.  Reservations are required by February 3.

Wednesday, February 10, is Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent. Our evening Ash Wednesday worship will be held at 6:00 pm.

On February 7, our collection will include: brown rice, spices and seasonings, canned fruit in juice, and monetary gifts. The food bank requests that no items be in glass containers. Watch for spices and seasonings that are not sold in glass.  Checks are to be made out to Mayfield UCC.

Mayfield’s Winter Progressive Meal featuring Pitchfork Fondue will take place on Saturday, January 30 at 5:00 pm.
