Between the Polar Vortex and more than 60 inches of snowfall, Mayfield has burned through two thirds of its 2014 fuel and plowing budget, and it’s only February 13!  The price of propane hit $4.41 the week of January 27, when Governor Quinn declared a propane emergency in Illinois.  Fuel companies are limiting gallons to avert dangerous shortages of fuel, with no end of the cold weather in sight.  Please join us on March 2 after worship for a potluck brunch/lunch.  Bring a dish to share.  We will take a free will offering earmarked for fuel/plowing.  If you can’t attend the party, we would gratefully accept your donation by mail.  Send a check marked PROPANE to the church at any time.
