Mayfield Congregational United Church of Christ will host an interactive workshop on “In Search of Belonging and Creating Community” by Dr. Rita Yerkes, co-author, and editor of the “Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Field Guide: Stories of Shared Experiences”.
This workshop is for adults (ages 18 and up) who are seeking to understand “belonging challenges” and how to create inclusive environments so people can humanely work and share community together. Dr. Yerkes will use this guide and its unique actual stories to facilitate challenging conversations and learning belonging concepts through experience.
Participants will experience safe exploration and co-create action steps in creating tolerance and belonging in a variety of societal settings.
A free will offering will be collected at the end of the session for the church preservation fund.
